Fri. 5 – Mon. 8 June ’26. Long Weekend Conference @ The Silverband Lodge and Conference Centre, Halls Gap. The speakers are from Adelaide are Rev’s Anthony and Sela Kumitau!  They are pastors at Crossroads Wesleyan Church in Adelaide.  Julie Harms attends their church on occasions as well. They are both passionate to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and they will do the same again for us in June this year.  They will also be available for any counselling that you feel that you need as they are both good listeners as well as great speakers. Bookings required by 1 June. Download brochure Halls Gap Brochure

Great food, great teaching, great accommodation, great things to do on and offsite, and the great silent auction are all there for you to enjoy.  As well as the Koorong bookstall where you will be able to buy the latest books you need to have?

Some information re the Silverband name with some details of events onsite and offsite as well.  I have attached a copy of the brochure in two formats and silent auction details for camp.  Remember that if you are having any trouble in paying up front for camp you can certainly pay it off like a layby if that helps?  If you are in a position to maybe sponsor someone part or full camp please let me know and I’ll keep it anonymous if you prefer!  Print off the rego form and forward it to me via email or post.

  1. The weekend away at Halls Gap, includes free time, teaching sessions, time for coffees, easy walk opposite and back around the back of town finishing with a coffee down the road, or somewhere else.  You can walk to Boronia Peak or The Pinnacle if you are fit enough.  And as I have let everyone know in the past a fantastic Ice Cream shop in Halls Gap as well.
  2. Julie Harms has booked us in to Barney’s at Pomonal for dinner. The booking is for Friday night the 5th June @ Barneys Bar n Grill, starts 6pm.  BUT please book with Julie NOT Barney’s.  They will only accept bookings via Julie for the Solo booking. So if people want to come they HAVE TO BOOK VIA JULIE (0468-367576)!!
  3. Again, we are running a get together on the way to Halls Gap at the Ballarat Pizza Hut in 31 Victoria St, Bakers Hill. Ballarat. Cost is from $19-24 depending if you want a drink for all you get all you can eat pizza, pasta, salad, dessert for lunch starting from 11.30am, It is on the way into the city centre after you’ve come off the freeway.  There is no real need to book as you can decide to turn up but if you know you are going to do that then let me know so I can make sure there is enough room for us.  I’ll book for around 15 for now.  At present I will be there from the start and will leave an hour later to get to camp to set up.
  4. The Linen Package has been updated by the Silverband Lodge to $40 includes 2 sheets, 2 towels, pillow & pillow case & doona.  So I guess I’m saying that if you are coming from interstate for instance, or even within Victoria, you don’t have to bring any bedding with you.
  5. Remember to bring enough money to spend at the Koorong Bookstall over the long weekend.  If you would like me to get a certain book for you then please let me know and I’ll do my best to get it for you.
  6. This time around the Silent Auction will be a bit bigger than usual as Nancy couldn’t get to El Kanah so she has a large number of items, so bring your Silent Auction items that are new or nearly new and if you are not sure whether to bring it contact Nancy in the details above and I’m sure she will let you know.
  7. Lovely country and usually no rain and sunny days.  Sightseeing to such places as Halls Gap Zoo, Quarry site – history of old stone in famous buildings in Melbourne years ago, lovely walk and maybe wildflowers, McKenzie’s Falls, Lookout, etc, bushwalking to such places.  Depending on weather – maybe a fire pit, marshmallows and sing along out the back after evening session or concert.  Local Market on Sunday morning down the road.  Come along, meet new people.  People come from Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Geelong around Australia!

I’m confirming that Club Solo’s next January Holiday in 2027 is from…

Sunday 31 January to Sunday 7 February 2027 @ The Kookaburra Wing, Hope Centre at The Heights Conference Centre, 23 Lockwood St, Belgrave Heights.

For the brochure click Belgrave Brochure Bookings are going fill quickly so I suggest you book in now if you want to have a specific room.  Any single rooms will available once the minimum has been reached.

The speaker is one of Club Solo’s favourite people who has been a speaker at a number of past Solo’s camps, the latest being at Collaroy in 2022.  It is Rev Dr Allan Meyer, a well-known international speaker.  He was a pastor at Mt Evelyn Church of Christ as Senior Minister from 1983, which became known as Careforce Church. He led Careforce Church in Melbourne for 26 years.  Careforce Church was a national leader amongst Australian churches in promoting restoration and pastoral care.  Careforce Church also developed a world-changing ministry in India known as Christian Outreach Ministry.  During their ministry, Allan, and his wife Helen, co-founded Care Force Life Keys – devoted to creating resources for leadership development, discipleship, church health, pastoral care and evangelism.

Also returning for 2027 is our counsellor Pastor Anne Spoelder, who really blessed us at Marysville this year when she stepped in to fill in after our speaker Pastor Michael had to pull out due to ill health. So as you can see if you do come you will be blessed beyond your normal experience at camp as these two wonderful messages of God will deliver His words directly into our hearts and spirits. Come prepared to be blessed.

Further our wonderful worship leader Wes Donaldson will also be returning after taking a well-deserved break over the year.

The cost is…

Quad (En-suited) Room – $1,290

Triple (En-suited) Room – $1,490

Twin (En-suited) Room – $1,690

(The deposit is $250 non-refundable as Club Solos deposit to the campsite is non-refundable)

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon teas and supper included.

The rooms and hallways are airconditioned, as well as the two meeting rooms available to us.  One to take all the meetings, bookstall and silent auction items, and the second for prayer room &/or counselling space.

If you know that you are going to come then even though the brochure is not yet ready, you can book in and pay the deposit now to hold your place.  I will contact you to confirm the single rooms are available.

At this stage we will organise a coach for the week if our previous driver again if available. We will see about a pickup from Southern Cross again.  There may be a chance that we can do a pickups on the way from a few places on the way that will mean you won’t have to take your own transport if you don’t want to.  Will give more details once I’ve spoken with the driver.

Unfortunately, single rooms could only be considered after we reached the minimum of 40.  (Maybe ask to be put on a list once the single rooms become available).

The close off date to register for single room is 15th December which would give us enough time to get those one the singe rooms are available.   The close off date after that is Monday 10 January’27.

I know there are some that have said that it is a lot closer to me this time I think that is a great thing as your transport costs will be next to nothing and if you plan your times right you can get to your room first and claim the best spot?

God bless and look forward to receiving all your booking s for the January Holiday ’27 and join us here in Melbourne again.
