Our coming events for Melbourne Club Solo
Thurs. 25 Dec. Christmas Night Dinner @ 550 Doncaster Rd, Doncaster. Starts 7pm. As with last year I know that there will be some who will have nowhere to go on Christmas night for dinner. For whatever reason you will be sitting at home wondering what to do? Well this year why not join Club Solo for Christmas Dinner at the Pancake Parlour in Doncaster. I have booked for 15 people and it will be on a first come first served basis. Cost: Whatever you choose plus a 15% surcharge for Christmas Day (not fair I know but it is still cheaper than going to an RSL or other club). Our Club Solo Separation, Divorce and Bereavement Seminars return in 2026. The start date is Thurs 19 February ’26 for a six week course being held at The Peninsula City Church, Frankston. Register at the church office 03-5971-2669 or email churchoffice@pencc.org or contact Chris Skopakow as well.

The Speaker is PASTOR ANNE SPOELDER. Anne Spoelder has been a minister with the Churches of Christ in Australia for many years, serving at One Community Church, (formerly Blackburn Church of Christ), Box Hill Church of Christ and for the last 10 years at Southern Community Church in Cheltenham, the last five years at Southern as ministry team leader. In Anne’s first 20 years of ministry at One Community were solely working with single adults and single parents. (Anne is taking over from Pastor Michael as Parkinson’s became more deliberating and he was not able to come)
The Lodge and Conference Centre has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi. Boasting a number of different rooms configurations, this property also provides guests with a BBQ! Some rooms at the property have a balcony with a mountain view. The is also a lift for any who needs one.
The hotel will provide guests with air-conditioned rooms offering a desk, a kettle, a fridge, a safety deposit box, a TV and a private bathroom with a shower. At Elkanah Lodge & Conference Centre rooms include bed linen & towels. The accommodation is catered with all food included in the cost. There are a number of games to play as well as table tennis and pool. The area is popular for hiking and skiing in winter.
Guests of El Kanah Marysville are also welcome to enjoy a lounge, located on site. For travellers arriving by car, free parking is available. We are sure you’ll enjoy your stay as you experience all of the things Marysville has to offer.
