Sat. 21 November. CHRISTMAS DINNER DANCE @ The Box Hill Golf Club, 202 Station St, Box Hill South (Mel 61 D3). Starts 7pm to Midnight! This evening is being sponsored by a generous supporter, so for the first 55 people to book in (and pay), it will cost only $30. After that, it will cost $90. First in, first served. Marrieds welcome. Cost includes a 3 course dinner, tea, coffee, soft drinks package, DJ, and a dance floor. The speaker is one of Club Solo’s favourite people who has been a speaker at a number of past Solo’s camps, the latest being at Collaroy in 2022. It is Rev Dr Allan Meyer, a well-known international speaker. He was a pastor at Mt Evelyn Church of Christ as Senior Minister from 1983, which became known as Careforce Church. He led Careforce Church in Melbourne for 26 years. Careforce Church was a national leader amongst Australian churches in promoting restoration and pastoral care. Careforce Church also developed a world-changing ministry in India known as Christian Outreach Ministry. During their ministry, Allan, and his wife Helen, co-founded Care Force Life Keys – devoted to creating resources for leadership development, discipleship, church health, pastoral care and evangelism.
Also returning for 2027 is our counsellor Pastor Anne Spoelder, So as you can see if you do come you will be blessed beyond your normal experience at camp as these two wonderful messages of God will deliver His words directly into our hearts and spirits. Come prepared to be blessed.
Further our wonderful worship leader Wes Donaldson will also be returning after taking a well-deserved break over the year.
The coach driver has been booked so that means we will pick you up from Southern Cross Station again. Locals, if you want you can make your way train wise to Southern Cross and we will pick up from the same area as this year. If don’t want to take your car you can come with us directly to the campsite. That includes interstaters as well. At present the time for the pickup is 2pm local time, so please make sure you allow yourself enough time to get there without having to panic Ha ha! As we don’t have as far to go this time. Registration starts from 4pm. The cost is $35 one way.
Remember this is the last official Club Solo January holiday that will be run by the current Director, Rev Steve Mitchell, as he looks at passing on the leadership to Rev Anthony and Sela Kumitau from Adelaide. So come if you can to help him celebrate nearly 40 years with Club Solo. Steve’s last official camp that he will run is the 2027 Halls Gap camp in June ’27.

(The deposit is $250 non-refundable as Club Solos deposit to the campsite is non-refundable)
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon teas and supper included.
The rooms and hallways are airconditioned, as well as the two meeting rooms available to us. One to take all the meetings, bookstall and silent auction items, and the second for prayer room &/or counselling space.
At the Jan 27 camp we are giving the Koorong bookstall a rest and Nancy and Ken are running a Preloved Christian books, Bibles, CD’s, records, cards and DVD’s stall instead. Please bring along any of the above to donate to our table and we will sell them at sale prices. All proceeds to Club Solo. A great chance to bag a bargain. Unfortunately, single rooms could only be considered after we reached the minimum of 30. (Maybe ask to be put on a list once the single rooms become available).
The close off date is Monday 14 December ’26.
I know there are some that have said that it is a lot closer to me this time I think that is a great thing as your transport costs will be next to nothing and if you plan your times right you can get to your room first and claim the best spot?
